Lucky Pennies: The End of an Era

To me, this short represents my final High-School film, despite the fact that it was made a few months after the fact. Almost all of the friends who had helped me with all of my shorts before this were here; I was using that same shitty camera, and that same shitty editing software, on that same shitty lap-top. But this short was different, I was challenged by a humanities teacher to use colors to create meaning in an art project. With “Lucky Pennies” I attempted to do just that.

The light colors in the beginning, the music, the blue tones later on, there were reasons for fading out, and the short was based on some sort of a theme… I don’t know; it’s still rough like my High School Home Movies, but there’s something about this short that sticks with me…
